I did not try any blending or burnishing pencils, or solvents. If review readers choose to use wet media, such as markers or gel pens, or using solvent blending agents (alcohol, baby oil, mineral spirits, petroleum jelly, and so on) they probably should use cardstock behind pages to protect the other pages, or consider removing their working page from the book, or consider pre-prepping the pages with a fluid-tolerant treatment.

I like the fact that this book has not only the ”This book belongs to” plate on the inside cover, but two blank pages at the back, because these areas make good areas for experimenting with media. The paper took Sharpies (which are alcohol-based) pretty well over a small area. I usually only use Sharpies for small accent areas.
