Do you like to color? If you haven’t done so you may wish to try your coloring techniques on a new hobby called coloring for adults. Its popularity started out as means of occupying your idle time while traveling or waiting your turn for an appointment at the doctor’s or dentist’s office. This new craze has gone beyond its use for doodling or a form of activity for relaxation, or an activity for the elderly. Hobbyists are finding this to be a fun activity and are using their finished art pieces in craft projects.

There are several different soap coloring options that are available to soap makers and crafters. The first types of dyes that you can use to color your soap are natural soap colorants. These soap colorants use natural ingredients to tint your soap. For example Turmeric can be used to give your soap a golden glow, Moroccan Red Clay can be used to give your soap a brick red color, and alfalfa can be used to give your soap a green color.

When washing out your color, shampoo twice. You don’t want any color left in your hair, do you? Don’t shampoo your hair for 48 hours after coloring it. You can always rinse your hair with water and then use conditioner. This preserves your color and allows your hair to ”heal” itself.

Elementary school is a tough time in the lives of many children. Most kids report a lot of boredom at school. They hate homework and would rather be playing outside. Don’t wash your hair! I know some of these dyes available to the public tell you to apply on clean hair only. That’s one thing that makes me angry. You can actually burn your scalp if you wash and dry your hair right before you apply permanent color. Hair dye processes fast with heat. Washing and drying your hair gets the blood flowing in your scalp, producing heat. This is how you can burn your scalp. If your scalp is itching shortly after applying the color, then your scalp is either burning or you could be allergic to the chemicals.

That’s what coloring pages and coloring books do for kids. They bring the imagination to life. They entertain kids bringing out creative and artistic talents.
